Focus and Scope
The Journal of Performance in Management and Accounting (JPMA) is a peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes high-quality scholarly articles focusing on the analysis, measurement, and enhancement of organizational performance from management and accounting perspectives. The journal serves as a platform for researchers, academics, practitioners, and policymakers to disseminate original research findings and critical insights related to performance evaluation, strategic decision-making, and accountability across various organizational contexts.
JPMA welcomes empirical, conceptual, and methodological studies that contribute to the advancement of knowledge in management and accounting, particularly in areas related to performance measurement systems, financial and non-financial performance, governance, and strategic management. The journal encourages interdisciplinary approaches that integrate management, accounting, economics, and related disciplines, as well as studies addressing contemporary challenges in both private and public sector organizations.
The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to, performance management, management accounting, financial accounting, strategic management, organizational performance measurement, budgeting and control systems, cost management, corporate governance, sustainability and performance reporting, public sector performance, auditing and accountability, managerial decision-making, and the application of quantitative and qualitative research methods in performance analysis.
JPMA publishes articles in English and Indonesian and is issued twice a year. All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous peer-review process to ensure academic quality, originality, and relevance.
