Plagiarism Policy

The Journal of Performance in Management and Accounting (JPMA) is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical publishing practices. Plagiarism in any form is considered unacceptable and will result in the rejection of the manuscript or retraction of the published article.

All submitted manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using plagiarism detection software prior to the peer review process. Manuscripts that show significant similarity to previously published works without proper citation or attribution will be returned to the authors for clarification, revision, or rejected outright, depending on the severity of the case.

Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to, direct copying of text, data, images, or ideas from other sources without appropriate acknowledgment, self-plagiarism, redundant publication, and excessive similarity with previously published works. Authors are required to ensure that their manuscripts are original and that all sources used are properly cited.

If plagiarism is detected at any stage of the publication process, including after publication, the editorial board reserves the right to take appropriate actions in accordance with established publication ethics. These actions may include rejection of the manuscript, publication of a correction or retraction, and notification to the authors’ affiliated institutions if necessary.

JPMA expects authors, reviewers, and editors to adhere to ethical standards and to actively contribute to the prevention of plagiarism in scholarly publishing.
